1. The 14-day guarantee
If you are not happy with a paid Plan, tell us within 14 days of your first payment on a new Subscription and we will refund that payment in full, no questions asked.
“First payment on a new Subscription” means the first time you pay for a given Plan tier on a given Site. It includes your first payment after upgrading to a higher tier you have not paid for before, for example your first Premium payment, even if you had previously paid for Standard. It does not include renewal payments on a Subscription you have already had the benefit of this guarantee on: once you are past your first 14 days on a Plan, that Plan’s renewals are not covered by this guarantee (see §3 for what happens instead).
2. How to request one
Raise it at modulefest.com/support with your site’s domain and, if you have it, your licence key. We aim to confirm and process refunds within 2 business days of your request.
3. After the 14 days
Outside the guarantee window, refunds are not automatic, but get in touch anyway: we look at requests case by case, especially where something did not work as it should have. You can always cancel future renewals at any time (see the Terms of Service, §6); cancelling stops the next charge but does not itself refund a payment already taken.
4. How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the original payment method via Stripe, our payment processor, in the currency you paid in. They typically show up in 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank. If your bank converted the payment from another currency, the amount you get back may differ slightly because of exchange rates or bank fees, which are outside our control.
5. What happens to your account and data
Nothing is deleted. When a refund is processed, the Site’s Plan reverts at the same moment to the Product’s free plan, where it has one, or to the Plan you were on before if you had upgraded. Your clients, bookings, invoices and every other record stay exactly where they are, in your own database.
6. Fair use
This guarantee is genuinely no-questions-asked, but it is not unlimited: we reserve the right to decline a refund, or to decline future service, in cases of clear abuse, for example repeatedly subscribing to and refunding the same Plan on the same Site.
7. Your statutory rights
Depending on where you live, consumer law may give you rights of its own. For example, consumers in the UK and EU may have a right to cancel certain online purchases within 14 days, though that right can be reduced where you have asked us to start providing digital content immediately, which activating a paid Plan does; other countries have their own rules. Nothing in this policy removes any right the law of your country gives you that cannot be given up by agreement: where this guarantee is more generous than that right, the more generous version applies; where it is ever narrower, your legal right still stands.
