Grants

Keep track of the funders the hall has asked, or means to ask, on Grants (under Money): what it was for, how much was asked and awarded, the application deadline, when the money arrived, what the hall promised in return (a report, a sign with their logo, spending it by a date), and when the report back is due.

The date that matters next goes on the Compliance screen with the usual reminders at 30, 14 and 7 days: the application deadline while you are applying, the report back once awarded. Mark the report sent and the reminder goes.

The top of the screen gives the figures most applications ask for, from the last twelve months: bookings, hours of use, different hirers, and hirers’ feedback score. Grants received appear in the annual report, apart from hire income. Keep applications and offer letters on the Documents screen. The grants tracker is on the Standard plan.

For example: The hall applies to the community fund for £8,000 towards a new kitchen, by 30 June. Awarded in September, with a report due after a year. The following August the treasurer gets a reminder, writes the report with the kitchen’s bookings, and marks it sent.
