Changing lots at once
On the bookings, services, clients and pets lists, tick the rows you want, choose Change selected… from the bulk actions and press Apply. A panel opens with the fields that make sense for that list. Every field starts on No change; only the ones you set are changed.
Bookings: status, who it is assigned to, the service, move by a number of days, a new start time, the price, or a note added to each. Services: active, draft or retired, the price (set it, or change it by a percentage), duration, group size, featured and sale. Clients: meet & greet, feedback surveys and town. Pets: booking reminders, surveys, how often to rebook and, for walks, whether they walk alone.
Above the bookings list, the All statuses and All staff filters narrow the list first, so you can pick out, say, every pending booking for one person.
Example
Sam is off next Friday. You filter the list to Sam, tick Friday’s bookings, choose Change selected, set Staff to Alex and add the note “Covering for Sam”.
FAQ
Why can’t I change an invoiced booking?
Once a booking is invoiced or paid, its status follows the invoice: paying the invoice marks it paid. So the calendar menu and Change selected leave it alone, and it cannot be dragged. To correct one, open the booking, or deal with the invoice first.
What about invoices, expenses and the other lists?
Invoices: set the due date or email each to its client (paid, void and refunded ones are left alone). Recurring invoices: active or paused, and automatic emailing. Discount codes: on or off, and the expiry date. Expenses: the category. The links above each list pick out what matters there, such as Unpaid and Overdue invoices or clients still needing a meet & greet.
Where has Bulk edit gone?
It only offered WordPress’s publishing states, which have nothing to do with your bookings. Change selected replaces it with fields that do.
Does changing the status send emails?
It does whatever changing the status on the booking itself does, one booking at a time.
Does moving bookings check my availability?
No. The length stays the same and the end moves with the start, but clashes are not checked. Look at the calendar afterwards.
How do I put up all my prices by 5%?
On the services list tick them all, choose Change selected, set Price to Change by % and type 5. Use -5 to bring them down.
