Build your newsletter from ready-made blocks and layouts, see it on a computer or a phone, and send it now or on a date you choose.

Start from a ready-made layout: what's on this month, classic newsletter, simple update, event announcement, fundraising appeal, AGM notice or hall closure. Or start from a template of your own. Then add blocks and drag them into order: headings, text, pictures, galleries, columns, buttons, price lists, a countdown, a QR code and more. What you see is what arrives.

Four blocks fill themselves in from HallPro:

Personal touches like the reader's first name, the hall's name and the date go into any text. Send yourself a test first, then send to everyone who signed up for the newsletter, straight away or at a date and time. The monthly newsletter can use one of your designs, so it still goes out by itself. Designs, blocks and groups of blocks can be saved and reused, and any newsletter can be printed for the notice board.

Open the reports library and pick a subject: bookings, money, hirers, events and community, building and safety, or the committee. HallPro comes with 24 ready-made reports, including:

For anything else, the report builder asks what to report on (bookings, invoices, hirers, rooms, donations, events, grants, faults, loans, meetings and more). You choose the columns, add conditions, then group and total. Show the result as a table or as a bar, line, pie or other chart. Save it to the library, keep your favourites to hand, and put the charts you look at most on the dashboard.

Export any report to Excel, CSV or PDF for the treasurer, the trustees or the AGM. Reports are for committee members who can see the money screens.

Is there a free version?

Yes. Basic is free for good, with no time limit, and covers bookings, invoices, the building and both phone apps.

Are there annual prices?

No. Standard and Premium are monthly only.

Do I need both plugins?

For Basic, only HallPro. For Standard or Premium, install HallPro Pro as well; your licence switches the features on.

Which languages?

English on every plan. French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian on Standard and Premium, and you can add your own.

Does it work outside the UK?

Yes, in 22 countries, with the right currency, tax, phone codes, financial year and public holidays.

Can I try it first?

Support is provided from the UK, in English only.

  • HallPro comes in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish and Norwegian (Bokmål): the admin screens, help pages, both apps, the booking and public pages, and the emails. The translations were made by the HallPro team; halls can correct any wording themselves on the Translations screen.
  • The free Basic plan is in English only, because WordPress.org’s rules for free plugins don’t allow it; every other language needs the Standard plan or above.
  • Changing HallPro’s English wording is free on every plan, and on Standard and Premium a hall can add and translate any other language itself.
  • The tax rate isn't set by the country. You set your own, because it depends on what your hall charges for and whether it is registered.
  • UK-only features (Gift Aid, TENs, Charity Commission wording) appear only for halls in the United Kingdom.
  • Somewhere else? Choose the nearest country and adjust the settings. It will work, but it hasn't been set up or tested for your country.
