Room layouts
Room layouts (under Rooms & prices) shows, for each room, the ways it can be set out: rows of chairs, round tables, long tables, classroom, one big table, tables round the edge, or a clear floor. Each has a picture and says how many people it takes. On every plan.
Pictures. Every layout starts with a simple plan drawn by ModuleFest HallPro, seen from above with the stage at the top. Better still, set the room out that way once, take a photo, and add it: hirers understand a photo at a glance. Tick Go back to the plan to remove a photo.
How many people. Put how many each layout takes in that room, as your fire risk assessment allows. Untick any layout a room cannot be set out in, and it is not shown for that room.
Where they show. Press Make the room layouts page, or put [hallpro_layouts] on a page ([hallpro_layouts room="3"] for one room). The booking form and the hire charges page then link to it, beside the question about how the room should be laid out. The job sheet shows the caretaker the picture for each booking, and warns in red when more people are coming than the layout takes.
For example: A family booking a christening lunch for 70 look at the room layouts page and see the main hall with round tables: a photo, up to 80 people. They choose it. The evening before, the job sheet shows the caretaker the same photo, so eight round tables go out, not long ones.
Questions people ask
Where do the numbers come from?
Your fire risk assessment, or your premises licence, sets how many people the room may hold. Each layout takes fewer: tables take space. Count the chairs the first time you set it out.
Can we add a layout of our own?
Not yet. Use the note on the nearest one, or change its name on Translations.
