Common questions
- Can I control what gets typed into member fields?
- Yes — set up Validation Rules under Admin Tools → Validation Rules. You can require fields, enforce UK postcode/phone/email formats, lengths, number and date ranges, allowed values, prefixes or custom patterns — on core fields and your custom fields — with your own error messages. Rules are checked on the admin member forms, the member’s own profile and the join form.
- How do I add a new member?
- Click + Add Member (which takes you to WordPress → Users → Add New). Create the user account and assign the pvl_member role. Their Pavilion profile is created automatically on first login.
- How do I send a renewal reminder to one member?
- Click the ✉ Remind button in the member’s row. Pavilion sends an email using the Membership Renewal Reminder template (editable in Settings → Email Templates).
- How do renewal dates turn red?
- The renewal date shows in red with a âš if it has passed. It shows in amber if it is within the next 30 days. Both indicate action is needed.
