Requesting a plugin
If you need a plugin that isn’t on your Plugins screen, ask us to add it.
How to ask:
- Sign in at modulefest.com and go to Support → New ticket (or go straight to a new plugin request).
- Under What is it? choose Install a plugin on my hosted website.
- Tell us the plugin’s name and a link to it (ideally its page on WordPress.org), and what you want it to do for your business.
- If it’s a paid plugin, say that you have a licence for it. We’ll ask for the licence details separately, so please don’t put them in the ticket.
What we check:
- Safety: it’s actively maintained, has no known security problems and comes from a trusted source.
- Compatibility: it works with WordPress Multisite and doesn’t clash with your ModuleFest plugin or the network’s security, email and backup set-up.
- Speed: it won’t slow down your website or anyone else’s.
What happens next:
- If it passes: we install it on the network and make it available to you, usually within two working days. It then appears on your Plugins screen, ready to switch on. Other ModuleFest customers may be offered it as well.
- If it doesn’t: we’ll explain why and suggest an alternative where there is one. Sometimes your ModuleFest plugin already does the job.
Plugins we don’t add:
- Caching, security, backup and email plugins: the network already does these jobs, and a second plugin doing the same job causes problems.
- File managers, database tools and code editors: these give access beyond your own website.
- Plugins that are no longer maintained or aren’t available from a trusted source.
