Messages to customers

Reach each customer the way they prefer: email, text message or WhatsApp. TradePro can confirm bookings, remind people the day before, chase unpaid invoices and ask for a Google review, all by itself, in your own words. Everything sent is listed here and on the customer’s record.

For example: Mrs Patel prefers WhatsApp. When you book her boiler service for Tuesday she gets a WhatsApp straight away, another on Monday morning, and once it is done a thank-you with your review link.

Do I need Twilio?
Only for texts and WhatsApp. Email works straight away through the same email settings as your quotes and invoices.

What do texts cost?
Twilio charges you directly, a few pence per text in the UK. WhatsApp messages are charged by Meta through Twilio. TradePro adds nothing.

Why does WhatsApp need templates?
WhatsApp only lets a business start a conversation with wording it has approved. Submit the wording shown on the Text and WhatsApp tab once in Twilio; when it is approved, paste its Content SID next to it. Until then, WhatsApp messages only reach customers who have messaged you in the last 24 hours, and the rest go by email instead.

A customer doesn’t want reminders
Open their record and set “Send messages by” to “Don’t send automatic messages”. You can still message them yourself.
