To the fullest extent the law allows, ModuleFest and the authors of our software are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the software, including, without limitation, loss of revenue, profit, business, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, even where we have been told such a loss was possible.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited, at our choice, to re-supplying the software or refunding what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and none of it affects any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Some countries, states and provinces do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or certain kinds of loss to be limited. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limits above apply only as far as your local law allows.
1. Why this is here
Our WordPress plugins are licensed under the GPL, which already carries its own “no warranty” wording for the code itself. This page says the same thing in plain English, for every product we make, and covers the service around the code too (licensing, updates and the ModuleFest Hub), so it is somewhere you can actually find it rather than only in licence text nobody reads.

2. Your country’s rules
Our software is used in many countries, and it is not tailored to the law of any one of them. We do not promise that a product meets the legal, tax, accounting, invoicing, data protection or industry requirements of your country, region or trade. Where a product offers settings for your country, such as currency, tax and number formats, they are a starting point: check that the tax rates, invoices and records it produces are right for you, and take local professional advice where you need it.

Does this affect my consumer rights?
No. Nothing here removes or reduces any right the law of your country gives you as a consumer; it only describes what is not promised beyond that.
Which products does it cover?
All of them: every ModuleFest product, add-on and module, free or paid, wherever it is used, and the ModuleFest Hub that licenses and updates them.
Is this legal advice?
No. It is a plain statement of the terms our software is provided on, not advice about your own situation. If a dispute ever turns on it, take your own legal advice.
