An appeal with a target, such as the roof fund, and a progress bar showing how close you are. Set campaigns up on Donations (under Community). On the Standard plan.
Start a campaign with a name, what it is for and the target, and dates if it has them. Everything given towards it counts: gifts by card on the donate page, where givers choose what their gift is for, and gifts recorded by hand, where you choose it. Money raised another way (the quiz night, a plant sale, a grant) goes in Raised another way as a running total.
Showing it. The donate page shows the progress bar when there is one open campaign, or when someone follows the campaign’s own link. Put [hallpro_campaign id="3"] on any page, such as the home page, for the bar there too. On the foyer screen, switch on the Fundraising campaign progress block. When the target is reached, the bar says thank you.
Close a campaign when it is over and it stops being offered; its gifts and total are kept.
For example: The roof fund needs 15,000. The spring quiz and plant sale raised 4,200, typed in as raised another way. The link to the roof fund goes in the parish magazine; each gift by card moves the bar on the donate page and on the TV in the foyer, where hirers see it every week.
Vragen die mensen stellen
Does Gift Aid count towards the target?
No: the bar shows what people gave. Gift Aid, claimed later, is extra. You can add it to Raised another way when it arrives if you want it counted.
Can we run two campaigns at once?
Yes. Givers choose on the donate page, and each campaign’s own link chooses it for them. The foyer screen shows the newest open one.
