Your club hosted by ModuleFest
If the club chose hosting when it bought Pavilion (option 3 at checkout), ModuleFest runs the website for you. The club’s address is yourclub.modulefest.uk, Pavilion and Pavilion Pro are already installed on your plan, and About ModuleFest Pavilion says Hosted by ModuleFest.
1 Sign in and run the setup wizard Use the sign-in link from your welcome email. The setup wizard starts by itself the first time: club name, rinks, membership types and season.
2 Connect the club’s own payments Under Settings → Payments, connect the club’s own Stripe, GoCardless or SumUp account. Members’ money goes straight to the club; ModuleFest only bills the hosting and the licence.
3 Invite members to the app The members’ app, the TV display and the steward tablet work straight away on the club’s address. Nothing to install on a server.
4 Leave the server to ModuleFest Updates, security, the certificate and the server’s health are looked after for you, so messages about the server are shown to ModuleFest, not to the club’s officers.
Common questions
- Do we still need to take backups?
- Keep Pavilion’s own backups switched on (Settings → Backups), ideally to the club’s Google Drive. They are the club’s own copy, whoever hosts the site.
- Can we move to our own website later?
- Yes. Download a full copy with Data takeout, install Pavilion on the new site and bring it back in. Nothing is locked in.
- Can we use our own domain name?
- Not yet: hosted clubs use a
modulefest.ukaddress for now. Ask ModuleFest support if the club needs its own domain. - Reminders went out late. Why?
- Pavilion’s reminders, renewals and backups run as scheduled jobs. Settings → Health Check shows Scheduled jobs; if it says they are running late, raise a support ticket so ModuleFest can check the server.
