The three plans — what is in Basic, Standard and Premium

Pavilion comes in three plans, and they are three separate downloads rather than one plugin with the extra bits switched off. Basic is free for any club, for as long as you want it. Standard and Premium are subscriptions. Each one contains everything in the plan below it, so moving up adds screens — it never moves the ones you already use.

The plans as they stand today

• Basic — Free. Run your green and your membership — bookings, the rota, members, applications and renewals. Free, for ever, for any club.
• Standard — £19.99 a month. Everything in Basic, plus the members’ app, newsletters and bulk email, competitions and leagues, events, the club store and online subscription payments.
• Premium — £39.99 a month. Everything in Standard, plus the club’s money — accounts, invoices, expenses, Gift Aid, bank reconciliation and the till — with the officers’ app, greens care and the asset register.

What that means, screen by screen

Basic is the dashboard, the booking grid, rinks, sessions and roll-ups, the green’s open-or-closed status and the rain-off, the duty rota and volunteer availability, member records and the directory, the online join form and applications, renewals and reminders, household memberships, leavers, the member-records audit, the noticeboard, the club’s email templates, the reports and exports, the GDPR tools, the member import, the setup wizard, this help system, the demo data, and support tickets and automatic updates.

Standard adds the members’ app and check-in, app invitations, membership cards and wallet passes, contact history, newsletters and bulk email, member groups, texts, documents, minutes and polls, in-app notifications and the weekly digest, matches, competitions and leagues, events and games nights, the club store, guests and public rink hire, the coaching tutorials, the locker register, the equipment register, the accident book, custom fields and validation rules, calendar feeds, the TV display, the org chart, the Google Analytics panel, and taking subscriptions and fees online.

Premium adds the accounts, budgets and invoices, expenses and approvals, suppliers, Gift Aid, bank reconciliation, the treasurer’s reports, the till and card payments at the bar, the officers’ app, greens care, the asset register and the automations.

The list that cannot go stale

Look at Pavilion → Tools → Licensing rather than at this page. It shows a card for each plan with every feature in it, ticked or padlocked according to what this club can actually use today, and it is built from Pavilion’s own list of features — so it is right about the version you are running, which a page of prose cannot promise to be. Basic is not a trial

It does not run out, it does not ask for a card, and there is no key to enter. Support and automatic updates are included on every plan, the free one included, so a club on Basic can still get help on the support site and still gets every release.

Common questions

Which plan is this club on?

Pavilion → Tools → Licensing says so at the top, under “Current plan”, along with which package is installed on the site. Any padlocked screen repeats it in small type at the foot of the panel.

Can we buy just the one feature we want?

No — the plans are sold whole. One subscription unlocks everything in that plan and everything in the plans below it, which is usually cheaper than it sounds: the feature a club goes looking for is rarely the only one it ends up using.

We only want the till. Does that really mean Premium?

Yes. The till is a Premium feature, and Premium includes everything in Standard and Basic as well, so you would be getting the members’ app and the accounts with it rather than instead of it.

Does the free plan limit how many members we can have?

No. The plans differ by which screens are included, not by the size of the club — Basic holds the whole membership, the whole booking diary and the whole rota, however big the club is.

Where do the prices on this page come from?

From the same place the Licensing screen and the website’s comparison table read them, so all three always agree. If a price ever changes, this help changes with it.
