🛟 Getting help

Support is handled on the ModuleFest support site. Raise a ticket, follow the replies, read the help articles and put forward a feature request — all in one place, and under one account if your club uses more than one of our products.

Pavilion used to carry a ticket desk of its own inside WordPress. It has been taken out. A desk built into one club’s installation could only ever show that club’s tickets, it needed its own copy of every reply, and it went quiet whenever the site could not reach the hub. Central is simply better at the job: you can raise a ticket from your phone while the club site is the thing that is broken.

Where to go

Help → Support & Updates has the button, and the page also shows the three things the support team always asks for: your Pavilion version and package, your WordPress and PHP versions, and your club site address. Worth copying into the ticket.

What stays in Pavilion

That same screen still shows which version you are running, whether an update is waiting, and whether your club is linked. Linking matters: it is the private token your club was issued on first use, and it is what checks your licence and delivers updates. It is nothing to do with tickets any more, but if it ever shows as unlinked, press Link now.

Before you write a ticket

Help in Pavilion documents every screen, with step-by-step guides for the jobs that come round each season. The help assistant will also point you at the support site when it meets a question the help does not answer — and it records the question, so the gap gets filled.

Common questions

Why can I no longer raise a ticket inside Pavilion?
Because support is handled centrally now. A desk inside one club’s WordPress could only show that club’s tickets, and it stopped working exactly when you needed it most — when the site itself was having trouble. The support site works from any device, including the phone in your pocket while you are standing in the clubhouse.
Where is it?
modulefest.com. There is a button on Help → Support & Updates, and the help assistant links to it too.
What should I include in a ticket?
What you were trying to do, what happened instead, and the details from the “Useful when you raise a ticket” box on the Support & Updates screen — your Pavilion version and package, your WordPress and PHP versions, and your club site address. A screenshot is worth a great deal.
My club is shown as not linked — does that stop support?
No. Support does not need it. Linking is what checks your licence and delivers updates, so it is still worth fixing: press “Link now” on Help → Support & Updates.
What happened to the feature request board?
It moved to the support site with everything else, which also means a request is seen alongside the same idea from other clubs rather than sitting in one club’s WordPress.
Will I still be notified when support replies?
By email, from the support site, and on the site itself. Replies no longer appear as Pavilion notifications, because Pavilion is no longer carrying a copy of your tickets.
How do I keep Pavilion up to date?
Once your club is linked, Pavilion checks for new releases by itself and offers them the normal WordPress way. Help → Support & Updates shows the version you are on and has a “Re-check now” button if you want to look immediately.
