Tapping the figures on the steward tablet

The five figures across the top of the steward dashboard — Bookings, Members, Players, Arrived and Expected — are each a button. Tapping one opens a table of exactly what makes that number up, with a Print button underneath it.

That printout is what most clubs actually want off this screen: Expected printed at opening time is the list to work down at the gate, and Bookings is the rink sheet. Neither needs anybody to go near the admin screens.

• Bookings — every booking for the day: time, rink, who booked it, how many are playing, how many have arrived, and any note left with it.
• Members — one row per member with a booking today, when they are first on, and which rinks.
• Players — everybody expected, named where names were entered, with a tick against those who have arrived.
• Arrived and Expected — the same list, split by whether they have signed in yet.

The tables are built from the figures already on screen, so they open instantly and keep working when the clubhouse wifi is having one of its afternoons.

Common questions

A booking shows players but no names.

Whoever booked entered a headcount without naming everybody. They are still counted as expected — leaving them out would make the Players figure disagree with its own list — and they appear as “Name not given” so it is obvious which booking to chase.

Can I print the list for a different day?

Yes. Move the dashboard to the day you want with the arrows first, then tap the figure. The tables always follow the date the dashboard is showing, and the printed sheet carries that date at the top.

Arrived and Expected do not add up to Players.

They should, and they are worked out from the same list. If they disagree, refresh the dashboard — the figures are from the last load, and somebody has probably signed in since.
