⚙ Booking Rules

Booking rules control when and how members can make rink bookings via the member portal.

Available settings

• Closed days of week — the club is completely closed on these days (default: Monday)
• Booking window (days) — how far in advance members can book (e.g. 14 days). Admin bookings bypass this limit
• Booking opens on — the day of the week when the next week’s slots become bookable
• Cancellation notice (hours) — minimum notice required to cancel
• Weekend afternoon steward required — Saturday and Sunday afternoon bookings require a trained steward to be included in the group
• Steward required from (time) — the time after which the steward requirement applies on weekends (default 12:00)

Common questions

Can an admin book outside the booking window?

Yes. Admins booking from the Bookings → Grid tab bypass the advance-booking window completely.

Can I have different closed days in different seasons?

The closed days setting applies year-round. For temporary closures, use Blackout Dates instead.

What does "steward required" mean in practice?

When a member books a weekend afternoon slot, they see a notice explaining that a trained steward must be included in their group. Pavilion does not automatically verify this — it is a reminder that club rules apply.
