🔄 Roll-Ups

Roll-ups are informal sessions where members turn up without a pre-booked rink and play is organised on the day. They appear on the booking grid as blue Roll Up cells.

Setting up a roll-up

Click + Add Roll-Up in the toolbar to open the overlay wizard. Choose the days it runs (use the day-of-week pills to tick multiple days at once), the start and end time, and which rinks are reserved for roll-up play. You can also optionally link roll-ups to a season date range.

How roll-ups work

On configured days and times, the selected rinks show as Roll Up rather than Free. Members can still book non-roll-up rinks on the same day. If a specific booking is made on a roll-up rink, it switches to Booked.

Common questions

Can members book a rink on a roll-up day?

Yes — if a rink is not designated for roll-up (or the roll-up period has ended), members can still make individual bookings. The grid will show Booked for that cell once a booking is made.

How do roll-ups appear on the public availability grid?

Roll-up cells appear in blue on both the admin grid and the public-facing [pvl_availability_grid] shortcode, so members can see at a glance which rinks are reserved.
