Rink Management

The Rinks tab shows a live visual green map of today’s rink status and a management table for adding, editing and reordering rinks.

Live rink map

Each active rink is shown as a glowing lane card with today’s booking status. Colours match the booking grid — green glow for free, amber for booked, blue for roll-up, red for unavailable. The SVG bowl icons inside each lane reflect the number of players booked.

Rink Colours

The green playing surface colour is customisable. Click the Rink Colours button in the toolbar to open a panel where you can set the rink surface colour, each status colour (booked, roll-up, friendly, closed, available), the “FREE” rink status badge, and the times/slot-times colour (including the 14:00–16:00 times on slots) — changes apply and save immediately. You can also set the colour from ⚙ Settings → General, which includes 8 preset colour swatches (Club Green, Navy Blue, Burgundy and more).

Add / Edit wizard

Go to Settings → Club → Rinks and press Add a rink, or Edit beside one you have. Either opens the same 2-step wizard with a live preview card. Delete asks where that rink’s bookings should go first, listing what is still to come and what has already been played, in two tabs.

Drag to reorder

Drag the ⠿ handle in the management table to change a rink’s display order. This controls the left-to-right column order on the booking grid. Changes save automatically.

Deactivating vs deleting

Deactivate hides a rink from new bookings but keeps all historical records. Delete is permanent — only use it for rinks that have never had any bookings.

Common questions

Can I delete a rink that has had bookings?

If the rink has upcoming confirmed bookings, deletion is blocked — cancel those bookings first. If it only has historical bookings, Pavilion warns you those records will show as “Deleted Rink” in reports. Use Deactivate instead to be safe.

How do I temporarily close a rink for maintenance?

Use Blackout Dates (Bookings → Blackout Dates tab) to block a specific rink for a date range. This is preferable to deactivating — it prevents new bookings without affecting existing ones.

How do I change the map background colour?

Click the Rink Colours button in the Rinks tab toolbar. Or go to ⚙ Settings → General → Rink map colour and choose from the preset swatches or use the full colour picker.
