🪄 Guided Wizards

Guided wizards walk you through multi-step or risky jobs safely — each one previews exactly what will happen and asks for confirmation before changing anything. Find the full list on the Help page → Guided wizards panel, where every wizard has a description and a “Run →” button; when you open Help from a relevant page, that page’s wizards are shown first.

The wizards

🧭 Setup Wizard — the master onboarding walkthrough for a new club: identity, rinks, sessions, fees, TV display, games night and demo data, with a per-step checklist.

Bookings

Add Booking Wizard — the guided way to add a booking from the day grid: pick date, rink and session, choose the booking type and players, then confirm — with clashes and availability checked as you go.
🟢 Rink setup wizard — add or configure your greens’ rinks (names, numbers and layout) step by step, so the booking grid and day sheets are built correctly.
🔁 Roll-up wizard — set up a recurring roll-up (a repeating open session) — choose the day(s), session, rinks and how often it repeats, with a preview before it’s created.
🚫 Blackout / closure wizard — block out dates or times when the green is unavailable (competitions, maintenance, club events), including recurring closures, so no one can book then.

Members

✅ Approve an application — turn a pending application into a full member, with duplicate and under-18 checks, membership number and welcome pack.
🗄 Archive a member — retire past, resigned or deceased members without deleting their history; restorable at any time.
📥 Import members (CSV) — upload a CSV, map the columns, preview what will be created or updated, then run the import.
🗑 Erase member data (GDPR) — handle a right-to-erasure request, showing what is deleted versus retained, with typed-name confirmation.
🔄 New-season rollover — start a new subscription year for the whole club with a preview of who rolls over and who lapses.
🔑 Locker setup — bulk-create numbered locker ranges by location, skipping numbers that already exist.
🎉 Bulk-generate events — create a whole series in one go (weekly, fortnightly or monthly-pattern events), preview every date, then confirm.
🎲 Games night library — preload the games guide from 33 club, pub, board and card games, each with a picture, instructions and equipment list.

Competition

✉ Match squad selection — review a friendly-match squad by rink and position with availability and clash warnings, then notify the squad.
⚡ Competition draw — generate a seeded knockout draw, re-shuffle the preview until happy, then publish exactly what you saw.
📅 League fixtures — build a round-robin fixture list with a clear warning before anything existing is replaced.

Accounts

💰 New Transaction Wizard — add an income or expenditure entry step by step: type, amount, category, payment method and supplier, so nothing is missed.
🏦 Bank statement import wizard — import a bank statement file and step through matching each line against your ledger, so the accounts reconcile cleanly.
💷 Set up expenses (admin) — a guided, one-place setup for the whole expense workflow: how a claim flows, who the Treasurer is, whether large claims escalate to the Chairman, the mileage rate and member submissions — applied in one step. Reached from Accounts → Expenses → 🪄 Set up expenses.
💷 Expense claim (members’ app) — members submit their own claims from the app in two guided steps: what it’s for, the amount or mileage and an optional receipt; then the bank details for payment. The Treasurer is notified automatically.

Communications

✨ Newsletter guided setup — start a newsletter with title, issue label, accent, font and layout in one step, plus the guided block picker in the editor.

Common questions

What's the difference between the Setup Wizard and the guided wizards?: The Setup Wizard is the one-off onboarding checklist for configuring a new club. The guided wizards are everyday walkthroughs for jobs you’ll repeat — squad selection, draws, rollovers, imports and so on. The Setup Wizard also appears in the guided list so everything is in one place.
Can a wizard change something without asking?: No — every wizard shows a preview or checklist of exactly what it is about to do and waits for your confirmation. The destructive ones (like GDPR erasure) additionally make you type the name to confirm.
