🎮 Games Night Guide

Add and manage the games available on club games nights. Each game has a name, description, rules (“how to play”), equipment needed, player count, duration, difficulty and an optional image picked from your media library.

⭐ Add from library: instead of typing games in by hand, click “Add from library” and tick any of the 33 club, pub, board and card games — darts, dominoes, cribbage, whist drive, bingo, quiz night, table skittles, beetle drive, chess, draughts, backgammon, Scrabble, higher-or-lower, Newmarket, shove ha’penny, carpet bowls, rummy, Uno, race night, chase the ace, Jenga and Monopoly, plus modern board games (Carcassonne, Dorfromantik, Hugo, Diamant, Camel Up, Castle Panic and Alhambra) and card games (Flip 7, No Thanks!, 6 nimmt! and Skyjo). Each arrives complete with a picture, full how-to-play instructions, equipment list and player numbers, and can be edited afterwards like any other game. Games you already have are shown ticked and greyed out, so adding twice is impossible.

Portal widget: a 🎲 Games Night card can appear on the members’ portal home page, listing the games compactly with their pictures — tapping any game opens a pop-up with its picture, description, equipment list and full how-to-play instructions — plus a link to the full guide. Turn it on or off with the “Show on the members’ portal home page” tick on the Games Night page (it disappears automatically if you have no games).

Manage from Members → 🎲 Games Night in the navigation bar. Add [pvl_games_night] to any member page to show the full guide — expandable cards with the image, description, equipment list and full rules.

Common questions

Can members suggest games?

Not directly — only admins can add games. Members could email suggestions to the secretary.
