The Email Templates tab lets you edit every automated email Pavilion sends — subject lines, body text, sender name, reply-to address, and footer — without touching any code.

Sender settings

From name — the name that appears in the recipient’s inbox (e.g. “Anytown Bowls Club”)
From email address — the address emails are sent from
Reply-To address — optional. If set, replies from members go here instead of the From address (useful if you send from a no-reply address but want replies to reach the secretary)
Email footer — text appended to every email with a — separator (e.g. your club address and phone number)

Editing a template

Select a template from the left sidebar. Each template has an editable Subject line and Body. Click any {variable} pill to insert it at the cursor position in the body — no typing needed. A Customised badge shows if you have changed it from the default.

Restoring defaults

Click ↺ Restore default at the bottom of any template to reset the subject and body to the original built-in text. Your customised version is discarded.

Common questions

What are the {variable} placeholders?: Each template has its own set of variables — e.g. {member_name}, {rink_name}, {date}. They are replaced with real data when the email is sent. Click any variable pill to insert it at the cursor.
If I don't edit a template, what happens?: Pavilion uses the built-in default text, exactly as before. You only need to edit templates whose wording you want to change.
Can I use HTML in the email body?: Pavilion sends plain-text emails, so HTML tags will appear as raw text. Use line breaks and spacing to format the message.
Where is the email footer added?: The footer text is appended to every email after a — separator line, regardless of which template triggered the email.
