📊 Internal leagues

Run a season of internal league bowls: a set of teams (or, in a singles league, individual members), a round-robin fixture list where everybody plays everybody, and a standings table that updates as results come in.

Setting up

Create the league, set the points for a win, a draw and a loss, then add the teams. ⚡ Generate Fixtures builds the full round-robin — every pair meets exactly once, with an odd number of teams one side sitting out each round. 🗓 Auto-schedule then fills in dates, times and rinks based on how your previous leagues ran; it only touches fixtures that have not been played, so a recorded result is never disturbed.

Recording a result

Click the pencil on a fixture, set the status to Completed and enter the result. There are two things to record and they do different jobs:

Result (rinks won) decides who won the fixture and therefore the league points.
Shots for and against is the total shots each side scored. This is what separates two teams level on points, so it is worth entering even though the fixture is decided without it.

A fixture cannot be marked completed with the boxes empty — 0–0 is impossible in bowls, and counting it would give both sides a point for a match nobody has played.

The standings table

Sorted by points, then shot difference (shots for minus shots against), then shots for. Only completed fixtures with a recorded result are counted; postponed, cancelled and unplayed fixtures are left out of the played column entirely.

Common questions

Two teams have finished level on points. What separates them?: Shot difference first, then shots for. That is why the shots boxes matter: if nobody enters them every team shows +0 and a tie has to be settled some other way.
Can I add a re-arranged fixture by hand?: Yes — “+ Add Fixture” asks you to choose the home and away teams, then the date, time and rink. A team cannot be given a fixture against itself.
What happens if I regenerate the fixtures?: The existing fixtures are replaced. The preview warns you first, and tells you if any of them already carry a result.
Will auto-schedule disturb matches we have already played?: No. It only fills in fixtures that have no date and have not been completed or cancelled.
Can a member be entered twice in a singles league?: No — Pavilion refuses it and says who they are already down as.
