Bookings & Rinks

The Bookings & Rinks page is the central hub for managing rink availability. It combines the rink map, booking wizard and rink management in one place.

Toolbar

• Date picker & arrows — navigate between days (Day view only)
• Day / This Week / Next Week — switch between day and week views
• Print & CSV — export the day’s bookings
• Rink Colours — set the rink surface, status and times colours
• + Add Booking — opens the 3-step booking wizard
• Rinks — now set up under Settings → Club → Rinks. A club’s greens change once a season, not every day, so the button no longer sits beside Add Booking.

Stats Strip

Shows Booked / Free / Players counts for the current day, with the colour legend for the rink map.

Rink Map Cards

Each active rink is shown as a card. Session slots are colour-coded: teal=Free, amber=Booked, blue=Roll Up, purple=Friendly, red=Closed. Click any booked slot to open the booking detail popup.

Week View

Switch to This Week or Next Week to see a 7-column grid with all rinks across all days. Today’s column is highlighted. Click + Book in any future cell to pre-populate the wizard.

Common questions

How do I book a rink for a member?

Click “+ Add Booking” in the toolbar or “+ Book this rink” on a rink card. The wizard pre-selects that rink and date. Complete the 3 steps: Details → Member → Confirm.

Why is a slot showing as Closed?

The slot falls within a blackout date, or the day is set as a closed day in Settings → Booking Rules.

Can I see who booked a rink?

Yes. Click any amber (booked) slot on the rink map to open the booking detail popup showing the member’s name and full booking details. A link to their profile is included.

What does the weekend afternoon steward warning mean?

Saturday and Sunday afternoon bookings require a trained steward to be present. The wizard will ask you to confirm this before saving.

How do I go fullscreen on the rink map?

Click the ⛶ expand icon in the top-right of the Live Rink Status header. Press Escape or click again to exit.
