🏦 Bank Detail Change Approval

Changing the club bank details (where members’ money is sent) is high-risk, so Pavilion can require a second person to authorise any change. This stops one individual altering the account on their own.

Turning it on

Go to Settings → System → GDPR → Bank Detail Change Approval and tick the people allowed to approve changes. Choose at least two so there is always someone independent to authorise. Leave it empty to switch the protection off.

How it works

  • When someone changes the subs/bank account, the change is held and the old details stay live.
  • Approvers are alerted in-app and by email, showing the exact old and new details.
  • An approver opens the Payments settings page and clicks Approve or Reject. The person who requested the change can never approve their own request.

Common questions

What if only one approver is set?
With a single approver the system cannot require independent sign-off, so their own changes apply immediately. Add a second approver for full dual control.
Are card numbers protected too?
Card numbers are never stored — card payments are handled by Stripe/GoCardless on their own secure systems. This feature protects the club bank account details used for subs and transfers.
