Maps and postcode lookup

Settings → General → Maps and postcode lookup decides whether ModuleFest Pet Services may use two outside services: Postcodes.io (in the UK) or OpenStreetMap Nominatim (elsewhere) to turn a client’s postcode or address into a place on the map, and OpenStreetMap for the streets behind route maps. Only the postcode or address is sent, never a name, phone number, email or pet detail, and each place is looked up once.

While it is off, nothing is sent. Routes are still recorded and drawn, without the streets behind them, and anything that needs a client’s place on the map, such as nearest-first order and mileage, is left out.
