📧 Weekly Email Digest
The weekly digest sends an email summary of your media library health on a configurable schedule. It includes your Health Score, unlinked file count, recoverable space, Recycle Bin total, and files expiring within 48 hours.
To set up: Open Settings & Stats → Notify tab → tick Enable weekly digest, enter the recipient address, pick a day and time, then click 💾 Save All Email Settings.
Template tokens personalise the subject and body: {{health_score}}, {{unlinked_count}}, {{unlinked_size}}, {{bin_count}}, {{expiring_soon}}, {{site_name}}, {{manager_url}}, {{date}}.
Use ✉️ Send Test to send a preview immediately to the configured address with [TEST] in the subject.
Questions people ask
The digest email isn’t arriving — what should I check?
Check your spam folder first. If it’s not there, your server may not have outgoing email configured. Install an SMTP plugin (e.g. WP Mail SMTP) to route email through a reliable provider like Gmail or SendGrid.
Can I send the digest to multiple addresses?
Currently the digest sends to a single address. Create an email alias or distribution list and enter that as the recipient.
Can I change the sender name and email address?
Yes — in the Notify tab → Sender Settings, set From Name, From Email, and Reply-To. These apply to all Media Library Manager emails.
How do I customise the email body?
Edit the Body Template in the Notify tab. Use {{tokens}} to insert live data. Click ↺ Reset to default to restore the original template.
What does the Send Test button do?
Triggers the digest immediately and sends it to the configured recipient with [TEST] prepended to the subject. Your saved template and sender settings are used.
