⏱️ Dashboard Refresh Schedule

The KPI Dashboard metrics are calculated by a background job and cached. The dashboard always loads instantly without running live database queries on every visit.

Control when metrics are recalculated:

  • Daily — at the time you specify
  • Weekly — on the day and time you specify
  • Disabled — only updates when you click 🔄 Refresh Now

The 🔄 Refresh Now button on the dashboard triggers an immediate recalculation regardless of schedule.

Questions people ask

Why are my metrics out of date?
Metrics are cached and only update on the configured schedule or when you click Refresh Now. Click Refresh Now for the latest figures after significant library changes.

Does the refresh job run even if no one visits the site?
WordPress cron fires when a visitor loads a page. On very low-traffic sites, the job may run slightly late. Use WP-CLI (wp cron event run) for precise timing.

How do I cancel the scheduled refresh?
Click the 🗑 Cancel Job button in the schedule card. This removes the cron hook but preserves your settings so you can re-enable it any time.
