The panel at the top of the dashboard is built for your trade, and the four editions of Pet Central genuinely have four different ones — because the four trades have different working days.

A groomer’s day is a building

Who is on site now, how many drying bays are running, which coats were scored high with no shave consent recorded, and the arrivals and collections in order.

A walker’s day is a round

Dogs still not counted back into the van — always at the top, always red — then the van check, the weather call and anything the fields are doing this month.

A sitter’s work is not a day at all

It is a booking that runs for eleven days while somebody is in Portugal. The briefing shows cover in progress rather than anything starting today, because a fortnight that began last Tuesday would otherwise never appear.

A trainer works in cohorts and cases

Courses on the books, dogs with an open behaviour case, and how much homework is actually getting done — which tells you what next week’s session should be before you plan it.

The menus stay the same

Only the briefing differs. Somebody running a salon and a walking round should not have to learn two interfaces, and if you take Standard and switch on a second service you get one layout rather than an argument between two.

Can I turn it off?
The dashboard settings button still controls the cards below. The briefing is deliberately not optional — it is where anything urgent appears.

I run two services. Which briefing do I get?
The one for whichever service the dashboard is filtered to, using the pills at the top. Filtering to All services shows the first one you offer.
