Reports answer questions about your business from the jobs, quotes, invoices, certificates and stock already in TradePro. Open the library, pick a subject such as Money or Jobs, and click a report to see the answer, with a chart where it helps. Download any report as a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) or as a PDF to print or email. To make your own, open Build a report, choose what it is about, press + beside the fields you want as columns, add conditions to narrow it down, and tick “Show real data” to check it says what you meant before you save it.

For example: Want to know who owes you money? Open Money, then “Owed to you by customer”. It adds up every unpaid invoice per customer, biggest first, and the Excel download gives you the same figures to chase from.

Can I change one of the ready-made reports?
Yes. Open it and press Edit. Use “Save as…” to keep the original and save your version under a new name.

What does “grouped by” do?
It puts rows into sections, for example one section per customer, with a subtotal under each and a grand total at the bottom. A grouped report can also have a chart.

What is “How they combine”?
With two or more conditions, every one must match unless you say otherwise. Type something like 1 AND (2 OR 3) using the numbers on the conditions, then press Check it.

Why does an Excel download arrive as a CSV file?
Your web host is missing the small piece of PHP that builds Excel files. The CSV opens in Excel just the same; ask your host to enable the PHP “zip” extension if you want proper Excel files.

Is stock on hand worked out live?
Yes. It adds up every movement in and out of each location, so it is always as up to date as your stock records.

Who can see reports?
Only people who can manage TradePro — usually you and anyone you have made an administrator. Your favourites (the stars) are your own.
