Service reminders

For work a customer needs again after a while: an annual boiler service, a gas safety check, a five-yearly electrical inspection. TradePro emails the customer a few weeks before it is due, asking them to book. When you book the visit from the reminder and mark it done, the reminder moves on to the next date by itself.

For example: Mrs Patel, boiler service, every 12 months, due 14 March. On 14 February she gets an email saying it is due; she rings, you press “Book the visit”, and when the job is done the next one is set for March next year.

How is this different from repeat visits?
Repeat visits put jobs straight in the diary, for regular rounds such as window cleaning. A service reminder asks the customer to book, for work that comes round once a year or so.

Can I add one quickly from a job?
Yes. On any job, the Service reminder box sets one due 12 months (or another gap) after the job.

What if the customer has no email address?
The reminder still shows on your dashboard and on the Service reminders screen, so you can give them a call.
