Linking this site to ModuleFest

Linking gives this site its updates, the licence check and support, through ModuleFest (support.modulefest.com).

What is sent

This site’s address and name, and the person who links it as the contact: their name and email. Nothing about your clients, their pets, bookings or invoices is ever sent. After linking, the daily licence check sends the site address, the plugin version and the names of the features the plugin knows about.

When it happens

The free plugin never links by itself. Pet Central’s own screens show an offer with Link this site and Not now (which hides it from you for 30 days). The Support screen has the same button. Pressing Upgrade also links, because the plan has to be bought for this site.

With a paid package (Pet Central Premium or the Pet Central Pro add-on) the site links by itself the first time an administrator opens an admin page, never during plugin installs or updates. If it cannot reach ModuleFest, the offer appears with the reason, and it tries again at most every five minutes.

Unlinking

Support → Unlink. Updates and the licence check stop, and nothing links by itself again until someone presses Link this site.

FAQ

The offer says my host may be blocking outgoing connections.
Your server could not reach support.modulefest.com. Ask your host to allow outgoing connections to it, then press Link this site.

Can I hide the offer?
Not now hides it from you for 30 days. Each administrator decides for themselves.
