Media Library Manager can connect to cloud storage for backing up media files before deletion and importing files directly into WordPress. Only one provider can be connected at a time.

You need a Google Cloud project with the Drive API enabled and an OAuth 2.0 Client ID.

  1. Go to console.cloud.google.com ↗ and sign in.
  2. Click Select a project → New Project. Give it a name (e.g. “Media Library Manager”) and click Create.

  5. Go to APIs & Services → Credentials → + Create Credentials → OAuth client ID.

  7. Click Create. Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
  8. Paste both into the Media Library Manager Cloud tab and click Save Keys & Connect.

💡 If Google shows “App not verified”, click Advanced → Go to [app name] (unsafe) — this is normal for apps you created yourself.

🔵 Dropbox›
  1. Go to dropbox.com/developers/apps ↗ and sign in.
  2. Click Create app → Scoped access → Full Dropbox. Name it and click Create.
  3. On the Permissions tab, enable: files.content.write, files.content.read, files.metadata.write, files.metadata.read. Click Submit.
  4. On the Settings tab, under Redirect URIs, paste the URI from the Media Library Manager Cloud tab. Click Add.
  5. Copy the App key and App secret, paste into the Media Library Manager Cloud tab and click Save Keys & Connect.

  1. Go to portal.azure.com ↗ → App registrations → + New registration.
  2. Enter a name, leave account type as any Microsoft accounts, paste the Redirect URI from Media Library Manager, click Register.
  3. Copy the Application (client) ID.
  4. Go to Certificates & secrets → + New client secret. Copy the Value immediately — shown only once.
  5. Go to API permissions → + Add → Microsoft Graph → Delegated → Files.ReadWrite, offline_access, User.Read. Grant admin consent.

Häufige Fragen

Why can’t I see my Google Drive folders after connecting?
The connection was likely made with limited permissions. Click Edit Keys → Save Keys & Connect to reconnect. When Google asks for permission, confirm you see full Drive access.

Does S3 work with Cloudflare R2?
Yes — see the Amazon S3 setup guide above for the R2-specific endpoint format. Set Region to “auto”.

Can I back up to both cloud storage and a local folder?
Media Library Manager backs up to the connected cloud provider only. For local backups, use a separate WordPress backup plugin alongside Media Library Manager.

Google shows “App not verified” — is it safe?
Yes. This warning appears because you created the OAuth app yourself and it has not been through Google’s verification process. Click Advanced → Go to [app name] (unsafe) to proceed.

My Azure client secret expired — how do I renew it?
Go to portal.azure.com → App registrations → your app → Certificates & secrets → + New client secret. Copy the Value and update it in the Media Library Manager Cloud tab.
