🔗 Unlinked Media Files

Unlinked media files are attachments that exist in your WordPress Media Library but are not referenced anywhere on your site — no post content, no featured image, no widget, no shortcode, no page builder block.

MediaVault checks every file against 15+ detection rules including direct URLs, Gutenberg blocks, Elementor data, ACF fields, srcset variants, and widget meta.

What to do with unlinked files:

• Review — some files may be legitimately kept (downloadable assets, archived content)
• Move to Recycle Bin — staged for deletion after the retention period
• Permanently Delete — immediate, irreversible removal
• Ignore — exclude from all future scans permanently
