🗜️ Compression Advisor

The Compression Advisor lists images above a configurable size threshold, sorted largest first. It helps you identify oversized images that could be compressed or converted to a more efficient format (WebP or AVIF) to improve page speed scores.

MediaVault does not compress images itself — it surfaces the candidates so you can act on them with your preferred optimisation tool or plugin.

The size threshold (default 500 KB) is set on the tool card. You can also set a separate threshold for the Oversized Images dashboard widget via its ⚙️ cog.
