Timetable — Publishing, weeks & printing
Publish sessions publishes the timetable so pupils and parents see it in their app, and staff see it on their registers. It keeps everything in step: run it after any change and new placements are added, edited ones updated, and anything you removed is taken away. Each session takes its times from the period, its lead from the assigned staff, and its room. A placement whose period has no start/end time is skipped — set times under Periods & days.
Draft until you’re ready. As you edit, an amber “N unpublished changes” pill in the toolbar keeps count. Pressing Publish sessions first opens a review of everything that changed since the last publish — each entry tagged New, Moved, Updated or Removed, with the specifics listed beneath it (who was added, a room change, a pupil marked out, and so on), and clickable to jump straight in and fix it. Then choose Publish now, or Keep as draft to carry on.
Every session needs a lead teacher. If any placed session has no lead teacher, publishing stops and lists those sessions — click one to open it and assign staff. Publishing only goes ahead once every session has a lead.
Per-day pupil exclusions are respected automatically: a pupil marked as not in on, say, Tuesdays won’t see Tuesday’s sessions and won’t appear on that day’s register.
Use the ‹ / This week / › controls to move between weeks — the day headers show real dates. The timetable repeats each week, so the dates are for reference and printing. Print offers options: the whole timetable (the current view), or a tidy personal weekly timetable for a chosen staff member or pupil — for the week you’re viewing. A staff member’s printout marks the sessions they lead.
