Timetable — Classes, groups & rooms

A class is a subject with a number of sessions a week — e.g. “Core, 3 a week”. Create classes on the Classes tab: pick the subject, tick the group(s) whose pupils attend, optionally pick a default room (from your managed list), and how many sessions it needs.

Each class appears in the planner tray. Drag one of its sessions onto the week and only the rows for its group(s) light up; every other row greys out and won’t accept it — so a class can never be timetabled against the wrong group. If a class serves several groups, dropping it places a session onto each of those groups at that day and period in one action, and each session pre-fills the room you set. The tray shows how many of each class’s sessions you’ve placed (e.g. 3/5).

Loose subjects (from the Subjects tab) aren’t tied to a group, so they can still be dropped anywhere for one-off activities.
