Outcomes & targets — Importing frameworks

Import outcomes reads CSV or Excel in either of two shapes. Most published frameworks use one column per level — name the columns Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and so on, and the hierarchy comes from which columns each row fills in. Repeated parent text is folded together rather than duplicated, so you can export a framework straight out of a spreadsheet. Alternatively give each row a short ref code and point children at it with parent_ref; rows can then be in any order.

Nothing is written until you have seen a preview showing what would be created, how deep it goes, and any rows that will be skipped and why.

Tick shared measures when a file isn’t per-pupil — the whole framework is then imported once, and evidence from any pupil can be tagged against it.
