WhatsApp messages

Send confirmations, “on my way”, report cards, walk maps and visit summaries via WhatsApp — no API needed, it opens a pre-filled message. Customise the templates here with placeholders like {pet} and {client}.

Canned replies (Settings → Messaging) let you build your own one-tap messages and tie each to a service, so only the relevant ones show on a booking — for example a Ready to collect message that only appears on grooming. Use {photos} to include a link to that booking’s before & after photos: a WhatsApp message can’t carry images itself, so the customer taps the link to see them.

Example

A groomer finishes a dog, opens the booking, and taps Ready to collect — the owner gets “Bailey’s Full groom is all finished and Bailey is ready to collect. Here are the before & after photos: [link]”.

FAQ

Do I need the WhatsApp API?
No — it opens a pre-filled chat that you send yourself.

Can I edit the wording?
Yes, per message type in Settings, with placeholders like {pet}. You can also build your own canned replies there.

How do I add a photo to a WhatsApp?
You can’t attach an image to a WhatsApp link directly. Put {photos} in the message and it becomes a link to the booking’s before & after photos — take those in the app’s gallery first, and they show on that page.

Can a reply show only for grooming?
Yes — set the reply’s service to Groomer (or Walker, Sitter, Trainer). Leave it on “All services” to show everywhere.
