Text messages (Twilio)

Connect Twilio to send text messages — booking reminders, survey invites and confirmations. In Settings → Messaging, tick Enable and enter your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token and a From number (or a Messaging Service SID that begins “MG”).

Set a default country code (e.g. 44 for the UK) so local numbers saved without a leading + are dialled correctly. Once enabled, anywhere the app sends a text uses Twilio, and your per-booking-type wording applies automatically.

Example

You paste your SID, token and Twilio number, set the country code to 44, and save. From then on, completed grooms text the owner a feedback link and upcoming bookings text a reminder — in your own wording per service.

FAQ

Where do I get the SID and token?
From your Twilio Console dashboard. The From number is a Twilio number you own, or a Messaging Service SID.

My texts are not arriving?
Check the From number is SMS-capable and in the right format, the recipient has a valid mobile, and the country code is set for local numbers.

Is this the same as WhatsApp?
No — WhatsApp and Twilio SMS are separate channels. You can use either or both.
