Tick & seed checks
Two things a walker finds and an owner does not, because you are the one in the long grass.
Grass seeds
They work in through the skin, usually between toes or into an ear, and end up as surgery. Two minutes after the walk prevents that.
Ticks
Use a proper hook and twist it out whole. Never pull, squeeze, burn, or put anything on it — that makes it regurgitate, which is exactly how disease gets passed on.
Tell the owner the same day
A seed found on Friday and mentioned on Monday is a vet bill. The screen flags anything found and not yet passed on.
