Team members & who does what

If more than one person works in your business, you can book against a specific team member — or leave it as No preference. Each service can say who can do it, each pet can have a preferred team member, and the calendar picker shows that person’s own free time. If you work solo, none of this appears — it only shows once you have two or more team members.

Set up in this order: add your people, give each their services and working hours, (optionally) limit a service to certain people, and (optionally) set a pet’s preferred person. From then on, starting a booking picks the pet’s preferred member automatically and the free slots follow whoever is chosen.

1
Add your teamAdd each person as a user with app access (Team screen, or Users → Add New). They appear in Pet Central once they can use the app.
2
Set their services & hoursOn the Team screen, tick which service types (Groomer, Walker, Sitter, Trainer) each person covers and set their weekly working hours and any days off — this is what the free-slot times are built from.
3
Turn on team availabilityUnder Settings → Availability, switch on member-based availability so each person’s own hours and diary drive the slots rather than a simple capacity number.
4
Limit services (optional)Edit a service and tick “Who can do this service?” to restrict it to certain people. Leave it empty to allow anyone who covers that module.
5
Set a pet’s preferred person (optional)On a pet, choose a Preferred team member. When you book for that pet they’re selected for you — change it any time.
6
Book against a personOn a new booking, pick the Team member (or No preference), then Pick a time — the free slots are that person’s own. Change the person and the slots update.

Example

A two-groomer salon lets Alex do hand-stripping and Sam do the express washes. Bella’s owner always asks for Sam, so Bella has Sam as her preferred groomer — booking Bella picks Sam and shows only Sam’s free times.

FAQ

I work on my own — where did it go?
The team-member options only appear when you have two or more team members. With one person there’s no choice to make, so they stay hidden.

What does “No preference” do?
It leaves the booking without a set person and shows everyone’s combined free time. Any qualified person can take it.

Someone isn’t in the list
Check they cover that service type on the Team screen, and that the service (if restricted) includes them.

Do the slots really follow the person?
Yes — with member-based availability on, the free times are that person’s working hours minus what’s already in their diary. Switch person and the times change.
