Stock take
Count what is actually on the shelf and type it in. Anything you have not counted, leave blank — blank means “not counted”, which is not the same as counting zero.
It corrects, it does not overwrite
If the system thinks fourteen and you count eleven, it records a correction of minus three with a reason rather than replacing the number. The history keeps both, so “when did we lose those three?” stays answerable. A count that matches records nothing at all — there is no movement to write down.
Example
A monthly count finds eleven bottles where the system says fourteen. The correction is recorded, and three months later the pattern of small losses is visible in the movements rather than being a vague feeling that stock walks.
FAQ
I left some blank. Did it zero them?
No. Blank means not counted, and nothing is recorded against it.
Can I undo a stock take?
Not as one action, but every correction is an ordinary movement, so a wrong count is fixed by counting again properly.
Nothing happened when I saved.
Then everything you counted matched what the system had, which is the result you want.
