Pick a time from the calendar

When you add a booking for grooming, sitting or training, tap Pick a time from the calendar to choose a slot visually instead of typing a date and time. You see the diary a week at a time on a full page — each day shows how many slots are free and how many are already booked. Use In 2 weeks / In 4 weeks / In 6 weeks to jump straight to that week when you are rebooking a regular, or the arrows to step a week at a time.

Tap a day to open it: the visits already booked are listed, and every free start time shows as a green button. Tap one and the booking’s start and end are filled in for you (the end follows the service’s length), then you carry on and save.

The free times honour your opening hours, slot spacing, lead time and days off — the same rules customers see when they book online — so you can only drop a visit where there is genuinely room. Pick the service first and the slots match its exact length.

Example

A groomer taking a phone booking taps Pick a time, flicks to next week, sees Thursday has four slots free, taps 10:30 and it drops straight into the form.

FAQ

It offered a time and then said the slot was full.
That was a fault, fixed in 2.523.0: the check made when the booking was saved counted every booking in that service — including cancelled ones, and including other members of staff’s — while the picker quite correctly asked whether this person was free. Both now count the same way: a cancelled visit blocks nothing, and where a role runs on team members, capacity is that person’s own diary.

Why are some days greyed out?
They are in the past, fully booked, or outside your opening hours. Only days you can actually book into are tappable. Note the booking window (how far ahead bookings can be made) applies to customers booking themselves — staff can book as far ahead as they like, so jumping 4 or 6 weeks out still shows free times.

The slot lengths look wrong.
Choose the service before opening the picker — the free times are worked out from that service’s duration. With no service picked it assumes 30 minutes.

Is it on walks too?
Walks book into walk-type slots, which have their own picker. This calendar picker is for grooming, sitting and training.

Can I still type the time myself?
Yes — the Start and End fields are still there. The picker just fills them in for you.

Does it show a particular groomer’s free time?
Yes. Choose who the booking is assigned to (and a table, if you use them) before opening the picker, and the free slots are that person’s own — their hours and their diary. Leave it unassigned to see everyone’s combined availability.

Can I change who it is for without going back?
Yes. The slot page carries the team member through from the Service & team step and shows it at the top — switch it to Anyone there to see wider availability without leaving the slots.

Why can’t I pick a certain team member?
Each service can list who can do it (edit the service to set this). The Team member list only shows those people, so someone who doesn’t do that service won’t appear. A pet can also have a preferred team member saved on it, which is chosen for you by default.
