Service pills

The pills at the top of the app switch between your services — Groomer, Walker, Sitter and Trainer. What you see depends on your plan:

  • Your services show as normal pills you can tap to switch between.
  • A padlocked pill is a service that isn’t in your plan yet. Tap it to add it — account owners are taken to Licensing; team members see a note to ask the owner.
  • A single service, nothing to add hides the switcher entirely and shows your logo large and centred.
  • All pills locked means the subscription has lapsed and every service is paused. You can still view your data, but changes are blocked until you renew.

On the demo site, visitors pick which service to explore at login — All services, or a single Groomer, Walker, Sitter or Trainer role. A single-role demo shows only that service’s pills, screens and data (just like a real one-service plan); the choice is fixed for their session.

Example

A groomer who only pays for grooming sees the Groomer pill live, with Walker and Sitter shown padlocked. Tapping Walker offers to add dog-walking to the plan; once added, the padlock disappears and the walker tools appear.

FAQ

How do I add another service?
Tap its padlocked pill and confirm — if you’re the account owner you’ll land on the Licensing page to add it. Once the licence updates, the pill becomes live and its tools appear in the app.

A team member can’t add a service — why?
Only the account owner can change the plan. Team members see the padlocked pill and a prompt to ask the owner, but no billing link.

Can the demo show just one service?
Yes. On the demo login there’s a “Which service do you want to explore?” choice — pick All services to try everything, or Groomer / Walker / Sitter / Trainer to see just that role’s screens, fields and sample data. It’s fixed for the session; to try another role, log in to the demo again and pick a different one.

What’s the difference between Basic and Premium?
Both plans include the day-to-day essentials — clients, pets, services, bookings, the staff app, deposits, the client portal, requests, compliance and WhatsApp. Premium adds the power tools: booking reminders, automations, finance reports, mileage, team access, roles & permissions and analytics. On a Basic plan those Premium areas appear with a padlock and an “Upgrade to Premium” prompt rather than being hidden, so you can always see what they offer. Services (Groomer / Walker / Sitter / Trainer) are separate from the tier — you pick the ones you need and can add more at any time.

I added a service but the pill is still locked.
The app reads your plan from the hub, which can take a moment after a purchase. Re-open the app, or on the Licensing page use “Re-check now” to pull the latest licence.

How does the free trial work?
A trial is a full working site for a fixed number of days, limited to one service — the Groomer, Walker, Sitter or Trainer you chose at signup — with no card taken. That one service is fully open (the others stay locked); the staff app shows a countdown, and the admin shows a reminder. When the trial ends the trial site and everything in it is deleted, and nothing transfers to a paid account — a customer who subscribes sets up fresh. Exports are switched off during a trial for the same reason. During a trial the metered send channels (text messages and the WhatsApp Cloud API) are switched off to keep it free — the one-tap WhatsApp links still work as normal.
