Import Wizard

A guided importer for Clients, Pets, Services, Bookings, Expenses and Invoices. Upload a CSV, map each field to a column (best guesses are pre-filled), run a non-destructive test that flags problems row by row, then import — with a downloadable error report for anything skipped.

You export last year’s expenses to CSV, map Date/Amount/Category, test to catch a couple of rows with a blank amount, fix them, and import the rest straight into your P&L.

FAQ

Does the test change anything?
No — the dry run only validates. Nothing is written until you press Import.

What about duplicates?
Choose Create new, Update existing, or Skip — matched by email (clients), name (pets/services), or pet + start time (bookings).

How do categories import?
For expenses and invoices, the Category column accepts either the code (e.g. FUEL) or the name (e.g. Travel & fuel) — it’s matched to your category list.

What if an owner or service is missing?
References are looked up by email or name; unresolved required references are flagged as errors, and pets can optionally create the missing owner.
