Group walks
A group walk is one booking that covers several dogs. You can set one up two ways:
- In the staff app — the Group walk quick action on the home screen walks you through picking the dogs and the time.
- In the admin — use the + Group booking button on the calendar (next to + Single booking). Pick the main dog, then tick the others. A plain single booking never shows the group fields at all.
Either way it is the same booking underneath, so a group set up at your desk opens correctly in the app on the day, with a card per dog for logging pees, poops and photos individually.
Dogs flagged as walks alone, or as not mixing with the main dog, are marked as you pick so you can see a clash before you make it — the same safety check the app applies.
Example
A walker sets up Monday’s 10am group at the computer the night before — four dogs on one booking — then opens it in the app on the day and logs each dog separately.
FAQ
How do I add a group walk from the admin?
On the bookings calendar use + Group booking rather than + Single booking. Pick the main dog, then tick the others. Each day column on the calendar also has its own + Group link.
I started a single booking and now want a group.
Click Make this a group booking on the booking screen — the dog picker appears without you having to start again.
What if two dogs should not be walked together?
They are marked as you pick them, using the compatibility flags on each pet’s record. Nothing stops you overriding it if you know better.
Can I turn a group walk back into a single booking?
Yes — untick the extra dogs and update. Only the main dog remains.
Is the limit on dogs enforced?
The walk type’s “max pets” governs what customers can book online. Adding dogs yourself is not capped, since you may have a good reason.
