The free Basic plan

Basic is free. Not a trial, not limited to a number of clients, and not read-only — it is the whole day-to-day product for one person, indefinitely: clients, pets, services, bookings and calendar, invoicing, deposits and card payments, online booking requests, vaccination compliance, the self-service client portal, the installable app, surveys, import and export, and the setup wizards. All four service types — grooming, walking, sitting and training — are included.

What is not in Basic is the automation and the scale: reminders and newsletters that send themselves, finance reports, mileage, rotas and commission, staff permissions, flows and analytics. Those are Standard and Premium.

Example

A new dog walker installs Pet Central on a Sunday evening, has her clients imported and her first week booked in by Monday morning, and has not been asked for a card.

FAQ

What is the catch?
There is not one. Basic is free because a groomer working alone should be able to run their books without a subscription, and because the people who outgrow it are the ones the paid plans are for.

Is my data limited or deleted?
No. Unlimited clients, pets and bookings, and nothing is deleted.

Do I need to give an email address?
Only if you want update notifications and support. The plugin works without it.

What happens if I stop paying for Standard or Premium?
You go back to Basic. Everything you created stays, and you keep full read and write access to it.
