Drying bays

A dog left in a cage dryer and forgotten is the worst thing that happens in this trade. It is always the same accident: a busy salon, a dog put in to finish off, and nobody holding the clock.

What this is

A board. Which dog, which bay, how long, and a hard red when it is over the limit. Refresh to update the clock.

What it is not

A substitute for being in the room. Never leave a dog in a cage dryer unattended. This is a second pair of eyes, not a replacement for yours.

Name your baysAnd set a limit for each. Twenty minutes is the default and it is deliberately cautious.

Put a dog inPick the bay and the dog. The clock starts. The list opens with In today — the dogs booked in today, in the order they arrive — and every dog is named with its breed and its owner, because five of them can be called Bailey. Everybody else is under All dogs for the day somebody is in without a booking.

Take them outOne press. The bay goes back to empty.

FAQ

Why does the clock not update on its own?
Refresh the page. A board that quietly stops polling looks the same as one that says everything is fine, which is the wrong failure to have here.

Is twenty minutes right?
It is a safe default, not a rule. Set it to whatever your dryer, your bays and your breeds actually need — lower if in doubt.

A dog I need is not under “In today”.
That group is built from today’s bookings, so a dog in without one — or on a booking that was cancelled — is under All dogs instead, with the same breed and owner beside its name.
