Demo data

The Demo data page lists each type — Services, Clients, Pets, Bookings, Invoices and Expenses — with whether it is imported, and lets you import or remove each one. Dependencies are enforced: Pets need Clients, Bookings need Services and Pets, and Invoices need Clients. “Import everything” handles the order for you. Importing Invoices or Expenses also fills in the revenue and expense categories (if you have none yet) so the Finance reports read nicely.

Before a sales demo you Import everything to get a populated calendar, dashboard and a few months of invoices and expenses, so the Finance reports show real-looking revenue, outstanding invoices and a profit & loss — then Remove all demo data in one click afterwards.

FAQ

Will it touch my real data?
No — imported demo records are tagged, and removal only deletes those. Seeded categories are reverted only if you hadn’t changed them.

Why is a checkbox disabled?
Import is blocked until dependencies are present; removal is blocked while dependents still exist.

Can I import a type twice?
No — once a type is imported its import option is disabled, so you won’t get duplicates.

Where’s the reset reminder in the app?
On the public demo, the installable app shows the reset reminder and a “Reset the demo now” link on its Settings screen (rather than a bar across the bottom, which used to cover the walk controls).
