Certificate template

Graduation certificates are designed under Bookings → Certificate template. You set the wording, what appears on it, and an optional signature; the colour and logo come from your branding, so the certificate matches everything else.

Wording uses placeholders that are filled in for each dog: {dog}, {course}, {date}, {business}, {attended}, {sessions} and {owner}. A preview beside the form shows a worked example as you type.

You can show or hide the completion date, sessions attended and skills mastered — useful if you would rather a certificate stayed simple.

A signature line appears when you give a name, with an optional role beneath it.

Individual courses can override the wording on the course itself, so a puppy class can read differently from advanced obedience without needing a second template. Leave those blank and the shared template is used.

Changing the template affects every certificate, including ones already earned — they are produced fresh each time rather than stored.

Example

A trainer sets the heading to “Puppy School Graduate”, adds her name and “Head Trainer” as the signature, and hides sessions attended so a dog who missed one is not singled out.

FAQ

Where do the colour and logo come from?
Your branding, under Settings → General. Change them there and certificates follow, along with the apps and portal.

Will changing the template affect certificates already earned?
Yes. Certificates are produced fresh whenever they are viewed or printed, so everyone gets the current design.

Can one course have different wording?
Yes — open the course and use the Certificate wording fields. Anything left blank falls back to the shared template.

How do I print one?
Open the class and use the Certificate button beside the dog. Owners can also print their own from the portal — both produce the same document.
