Bookings & the calendar

Tap an empty slot to create a booking, or drag an existing one to reschedule. Colours show status (pending, confirmed, completed, cancelled).

The calendar warns you about clashes and “pack chemistry” — e.g. two dogs flagged as incompatible in the same group slot.

If you run more than one service type, the All bookings list has role tabs at the top (Groomer / Walker / Sitter / Trainer) so you can focus on just one at a time.

More than one treatment at once

A dog in for a groom and a teeth clean is one booking, not two. Pick the main service, then tick the others under Also doing. The price and the time are added together, and the invoice lists each treatment on its own line so the customer can see what they paid for.

Type a price on the booking to charge something different — a bundle rate, say. The treatments are only added up when you leave the price blank.

This works for every service and is included in every version, free ones as well. A groomer doing teeth alongside a groom is ordinary work, not a paid extra.

Example

You tap 2pm Saturday, pick Rex and a full groom; the app blocks the right length of time and warns if a dog already booked then is flagged as incompatible.

FAQ

How do I reschedule?
Drag the booking to a new time, or open it and edit the times.

What do the colours mean?
They follow the work and then the money: pending, confirmed, to invoice, invoiced, paid, and the settled-without-payment ones — prepaid, package paid and free.

A groom and a teeth clean together.
One booking. Tick the extra under Also doing beside the service. Price and time are added up, the invoice lists each treatment separately, and the customer sees both on their portal.

Can I see just grooming (or just walks)?
Yes — use the role tabs above the All bookings list. They appear when two or more modules are enabled.

Day, Week or Month view?
The calendar screen has a Day / Week / Month switch at the top — tap to change, and the arrows step by that same period. To choose which one it opens on, set “Default calendar view” in the app Settings (cog); the calendar now honours that choice.

I created a booking/walk but nothing happened?
The booking was most likely declined by a rule — a time clash, a “pack chemistry” (temperament) conflict, a vaccination-compliance block, or a required meet & greet. The wizard now stays open and shows the exact reason so you can adjust the time, dog or client and try again.

How does the meet & greet check work when booking?
As soon as you pick the pet(s) and move on, the app flags any whose owner hasn’t had a meet & greet — but only for services that need one. If you’re allowed to override you get a “Continue anyway” option; otherwise you’re asked to arrange one first. Control this under Settings → Bookings → Meet & greet (“Allow staff to override…”), and block individual people from overriding on the Team screen.

Can I swipe a booking to do something quickly?
Yes. In the app Settings (cog), under “Swipe actions on a booking”, set a swipe-left and swipe-right action for each role you run — Groomer, Walker, Sitter and Trainer each have their own. Then swipe a booking left or right in any list and it uses that booking’s role; you’ll be asked to confirm first, so an accidental swipe does nothing. “Start walk” is only offered for walks.

Do groomers need a meet & greet? (choose per service)
You choose which service types require one. Under Settings → Bookings → Meet & greet, tick the modules that need it — sitters and walkers often do (you’re minding pets unsupervised), while groomers often don’t. Only bookings for a ticked module are blocked when the client hasn’t had a meet & greet.
